Dr. Tasha Richard completed her PhD in four years and secured a tenure track position with a leading university two years into her PhD journey. She is a master planner and is eager to share her PhD blueprint with you to enable you to achieve your PhD goals with confidence and ease.

Her commitment to sustainability goals and entrepreneurship is unmatched, and she is passionate about instilling these values in her students.


Tasha's research is driven by a desire to make a positive impact on the world, particularly in the areas of gender equality, food security, and indigenous ways of knowing entrepreneurship. She was recently awarded a Belong Fellowship to study the intersection of these topics, with a focus on supporting underrepresented groups in the field of entrepreneurship.Prior to her academic career, Tasha worked in corporate management, overseeing multi-million dollar brands and launching numerous successful products into the Canadian market. She has a wealth of experience in market research, advertising, sponsorship, and event activations, and is particularly adept at adapting big-player strategies to create tailored plans for start-ups.


In addition to her work in academia, Tasha has also created, built, and sold several digital and brick-and-mortar businesses. She is a champion of branding and customer experience and has supported the development of brand strategies for over fifteen local start-ups, many of them in the food space.


Overall, Tasha is a tireless advocate for the next generation of entrepreneurs and problem-solvers and is committed to using her expertise to empower them to make a positive impact on the world. She is equally passionate about community involvement and is active with Junior Achievement and the upcoming 2023 Indigenous Games being held in Halifax, Nova Scotia in July 2023.
